Shine Studio

Yoga and Wellness Space

Becka King, LMT, RM, CYI, CTYP

Becka’s road to yoga began in 2006, when she began to take classes at Seven Petals Wellness, once located in New Hartford, NY.  There, she quickly fell in love with the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga, but never thought that one day she would be in the front of the class!  In 2007, she completed her 200 hour training and taught two or three times a week for the next 3 years. Since the closing of SPW, Becka has always missed the community that yoga naturally brings together.  She started work on Shine Studio in June of 2012, and is now so happy to be able to share it with you.  She also is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and the proprietor of Shine Massage Therapy.

Carolyn LaSalle, RYT
Carolyn is an Infinite Light Yoga 200 hour certified and Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) , Yin Yoga certified, Hoopnotica-certified Hoop Instructor, as well as a Certified Qi Gong Instructor. She has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years and loves sharing her practice with others. She believes everyone can improve their mental and physical wellbeing with a regular yoga practice combined with energy work. Her classes range from restorative and gentle classes, to theme based classes that focus on a practice that targets a specific system or function of the body such as digestion, circulation, and respiration.  All classes consist of breathing, meditation, asanas (yoga postures) and relaxation techniques that are geared toward all ages and levels of experience. Carolyn looks forward to the opportunity to share in your yogic practice, path and growth.

Dawn Peck

Dawn has always loved dancing including tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical. She grew up as a dancer and an athlete but after college She stopped and gained weight!  She struggled with her weight until she was introduced to live formats she loved including both PiYo and Turbo Kick.  She lost over 90lbs doing these formats and fell in love with them which lead to her certification in both. What began as a mission to lose weight quickly became a growing passion and love for fitness.  Dawn now hopes to share her love of PiYo with all of her students, as well as, the many benefits including increased flexibility, strength and fun!

Christina Reilly, RYT

Christina came late to yoga and is joyfully growing her asana practice. She is deeply grateful to Mark Heiland and Kelly Sprague for inspiring her to commit to a yoga practice. And she is equally grateful to Heather Tice and Lauren Toolin for giving her the tools and confidence to share it with others. Christina hopes her classes will open your heart and maybe your hamstrings. She is honored to be a part of the Shine community and looks forward to seeing you on the mat.

Jeri George, CYT

“Yoga has transformed my life and I see this journey incessantly evolving.”  Jeri’s devotion to yoga began 10 years ago. After spending 20 plus years teaching a variety of group fitness classes, she discovered later in life the joy of serving others as a yoga instructor. She is grateful to the many yogis that have inspired her along the way; Desiree Rumbaugh (visit, My Yoga Online: Desiree Rumbaugh Spotlight-You Tube, so true and powerful), Baron Baptiste, and to many local instructors in our community. Currently Jeri has a 240 hours certificate in Hatha yoga and 5 years of experience instructing. “I believe everyone can practice yoga. I want students to feel welcomed, inspired and a sense of freedom when they are on their mats.”  Jeri is an employee of Mohawk Valley Community College and loves the opportunity to introduce young adults to the practice of yoga. She is most excited to be a part of The Shine Studio and to surround herself with others that share her passion for yoga.  “Together we will creatively open our mind and bodies to new experiences, to GROWTH.”
